This report describes a project to map community assets, wellbeing and resilience in Poplar, East London. It was carried out for the Institute of Sustainability to support its work on NDEMO, an ambitious new community retrofit programme.
The report provides insights and evidence about the dynamics of community life that will shape the development of a community engagement strategy for the NDEMO project.
The work builds on the Institute of Sustainability's work with Poplar HARCA (which has focused on understanding the needs of its tenants and the structures that are in place for resident engagement) to map out the needs, assets and vulnerabilities of other residents in the NDEMO project area.
