This report summarises the findings of action research carried out by Social Life and Age UK Lewisham & Southwark between to understand clients’ experiences of the Food2You delivery service. The research was part of Social Life’s pro bono work for 2022.
Social Life trained the Food2You team in research methods and supported them throughout the process. We put sharing of expertise and co-production practices at the centre of the work. Our teams collaborated to refine the research questions, identify the most appropriate research protocols, and choose research methods and ways to present the collected data.
The Food2You team’s knowledge and rapport with their clients was critical in understanding the service and the context in which it operates. We worked together to explore alternative systems of food delivery that could perhaps better serve the needs of Food2You clients in the future.
