This report sets out the findings of a study of the neighbourhoods surrounding the former Peek Frean biscuit factory in Bermondsey. The research was commissioned by Grosvenor UK & Ireland in 2018.
We engaged with over 300 residents through a survey and walking interviews. A traders survey and youth survey were also undertaken in partnership with the Southwark Young Advisors. The study explores the experiences and perceptions of residents in relation to their local area, the community, employment, education, and health and wellbeing. It also highlights the views of local businesses.
The study is intended to inform Grosvenor's community investments locally as well as providing a baseline to understand the impact of their proposed Biscuit Factory development.
