Socia LIfe worked with Kaizen, the Waltham Forest Young Advisors and YIAG to carry out research in Waltham Forest ato understand young people's perceptions of their housing options, and aspirations for the future. This was informed by a review of research and evidence about young people's housing, an analysis of Waltham Forest data, a review of interesting examples from elsewhere and conversations with organisations that are involved in providing housing and support for young people.
We worked with the council to develop future options for the borough, and recommendations for the Mayor and the government.
The findings were launched at Waltham Forest's housing summit on September 6th 2017, and the full report was published in 2018.
