Social Life has returned to the South Acton Estate to research residents' perceptions of regeneration, and to assess the social sustainability of the area - including the older estate, newly built homes, and the streets immediately neighbouring the estate.
We carried out a benchmark social sustainability assesment in 2015 in the same area, and this new project et us explore what the regeneration scheme has meant for residents, and what its impact is on quality of life and on community relationships. We are continuing to work with the University of Reading.
This work was commissioned by Acton Gardens LLP - a partnership between Countryside Properties, L&Q and Ealing Council.
