Lavanya joined Social Life in September 2020 as a researcher/designer. Since then she has supported the team’s research activities, including coordinating multi-pronged research activities assessing the impact of COVID-19 in six parts of Southwark, and designing research outputs for a range of projects.
Prior to this she worked for three years as an architectural assistant at a practice specialising in healthcare for the NHS. Lavanya holds an Architectural Research Masters (MRes) from the Royal College of Art. Her main thesis focused on microeconomies of underserved settlements in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
